Greater Springfield Recognised on World Stage as a Great Place to Live
An internationally recognised report has found Greater Springfield is a city with a bright future. One of the world’s leading engineering consultancy companies Tractebel recently performed a 360 City Scan of Greater Springfield, which revealed the city was a great place to live because it was inexpensive, well connected and had good amenities and services. A 50-year strategic alliance was struck in late 2018 between the city and ENGIE, with the main objective of Greater Springfield becoming a Zero Net Energy city by 2038. The 360 City Scan was used as part of that alliance as a holistic way of assessing the actual characteristics of Greater Springfield. This was done through evaluating and highlighting the strengths and needs of the city in order to achieve the energy objectives of the alliance. The findings of the scan revealed the Greater Springfield community today was already an inclusive community living in an attractive and thriving city development and that basic infrastructure was already in place and state-of the-art.
